Welcome to day two of the 2014 edition of Logistics Middle East’s 3PL Power List – a detailed ranking of the region’s 25 most influential 3PL executives.

After introducing numbers 25-21 on the list on Sunday, today we bring you numbers 20-16.

16 Mahmood Sakhi Al Balushi
CEO, Al Madina Logistics Services (AMLS)

Under CEO Mahmood Sakhi Al Balushi’s guidance, Al Madina Logistics has developed into one of the largest logistics providers in Oman in a relatively short period of time. The company was the first in Oman to establish an inland port and its distribution centre in Oman is ISO:22000 certified.

The firm has attracted customers such as the tyres and batteries division of Oman’s MHD group, McDonalds, Carrefour and PDO. Al Balushi is a graduate of St. Edward’s University in Texas and has an MBA from Franklin University, Ohio.

Before joining AMLS, he held a senior position at Golden Group of Companies, and between 1989 and 1995 he was an administrative supervisor at the Royal Diwan.
