Warehouse automation solutions provider Swisslog will present its latest intralogistics technologies at Materials Handling Middle East, held in Dubai from 14-16 September.

Visitors to the eight edition of the bi-annual trade show and exhibition will get a first glimpst at a new Swisslog system that integrates robotic picking with the company's automated small part storage and picking system AutoStore.

Key benefits of the system include picking accuracy, more flexible and faster delivery times as well as independency of labour, Swisslog said in a statement.

Swisslog is known for its innovations in the integration of robotics and warehouse picking processes and the company states that its newly developed Automated Item Pick workstation, developed in conjunction with new parent company, KUKA, has made the vision of Human-Robot-Integration technology a reality.

“We are very excited about bringing our new Automated Item Pick concept and the incredibly popular AutoStore solution to the show,” saidFrédéric Zielinski, general manager of Swisslog Middle East LLC, who earlier this year oversaw the establishment of a new Swisslog Dubai office.

“The growing importance of automation in the region, particularly in the retail and F&B business, makes our latest product offering very pertinent. We are delighted to be presenting best practice examples at our booth of how automation can support expanding businesses, as well as providing a 3D view of Swisslog’s intralogistics offering via a unique Oculus virtual reality presentation,” he added

Swisslog Warehouse & Distribution Solutions (WDS) designs, develops and delivers offers integrated systems for warehouses and distribution centres as well as services from a single source.

Swisslog Middle East LLC has a growing presence in the region, backed by over 2,300 employees worldwide working across two divisions: Warehouse & Distribution Solutions (WDS) and Healthcare Solutions (HCS).

With the establishing of Swisslog Middle East LLC in Dubai, Swisslog WDS is further developing its presence in a region with a rapidly developing automation market.

Swisslog's conference presentation at Materials Handling Middle East is scheduled for 16 September in the SCLG forum and is called 'How warehouse automation can support your future business expansion – 5 best practice examples realized by Swisslog'
