US-based freight forwarder Ship Overseas has launched a new automotive freight service, targeted at GCC nationals studying in the United States.

“You got into your dream school. The only thing is, it’s half-way around the world. Depending on the location of your school, nearby necessities, and other factors, you may need a car to get around,” says the company.

“Instead of worrying about what to do with your current car or how you will ever find a new car for your short stay overseas, you can choose instead to ship your car with you using Ship Overseas Inc.”

There are several shipping options available. The car can either be driven to the nearest port for drop-off, or a Ship Overseas rep can collect it.

The car is then loaded as either ro-ro freight or within a shared or single container.

“For students traveling abroad, or even returning home to the Middle East after studying in the U.S., Ship Overseas is the most ideal way to transport your car to where you need it,” says the company.

With this move Ship Overseas is going head-to-head with Emirates SkyCargo, which already runs a well-established automotive cargo arm called SkyWheels, which is preferred by most affluent Arab nationals studying or holidaying abroad.
