Gulf Stevedoring Contracting Company (GSCCO), part of the Gulftainer group of companies, aims to encourage new ways of doing business in Jubail, where it operates the Jubail Container Terminal, one of the fastest growing terminals of 2017.

The terminal operator will hold a Jubail Value Proposition event at the InterContinental Al Jubail on January 15, hosting key government stakeholders and maritime industry professionals in Saudi Arabia.

“This definitive event seeks to encourage new ways of doing business in Jubail and reinforce the city’s status as a leading industrial and commercial hub,” says Richard James, managing director of GSCCO.

“It offers a unique platform for identifying new business opportunities that can help accelerate economic growth in Saudi Arabia, as well as for sharing best practices in innovation in the maritime sector. We look forward to hosting the event and building synergies with key industry stakeholders.”

A series of interactive presentations and discussions will provide an overview of GSCCO’s achievements in Jubail as well as the innovative operational solutions it offers at the Jubail Commercial Port (JCP).

Ranked the fastest-growing port in the Middle East in 2017, JCP is home to some of GSCCO’s flagship facilities, including the Jubail Container Terminal (JCT), that contributes significantly to the region’s economic activity and offers an attractive value proposition for industrial entities in the region.

JCP serves as an ideal destination for Saudi exports and for the import of industrial equipment. With the fastest customs clearance processes in Saudi Arabia, JCP is currently a port of call for more than 10 shipping lines with direct weekly services.

Jubail’s strategic location on the Arabian Gulf has enabled the city to evolve into a gateway for international trade.

With the city’s petrochemical plants now in full production, Jubail’s ports are experiencing a steady surge in activity. In 2017, Jubail’s import volumes grew by 83 per cent, and JCT alone witnessed a staggering 26 per cent hike in throughput.

Participants wishing to attend the Jubail Value Proposition event can register online at jvp.gulftainer.com.
