DHL Express has boosted its transportation infrastructure in the Middle East with a US$3.7 million storage centre in Jordan.
The facility, which is visible from Queen Alia International Airport, measures 4000m2 and has been designed to service DHL’s road activities from the GCC through to the Levant, North Africa and Europe.
“With the economies of the Middle East continuing to grow, this region is a key focus for DHL and we have underlined our commitment by investing $3.7 million in this facility,” said Paul Bicknell, facilities engineer, DHL Middle East.
“The robust operational procedures in place at the Jordan hub will benefit customers in the GCC, Levant and Europe who are sending shipments by road, as well as companies that import and export to and from Jordan.”
