Local logistics major FAMCO is impressing visitors to the Materials Handling Middle East show, currently being held in Dubai, with a simulation of the ways in which relevant products and systems can be integrated together.
In a departure from the traditional stand set-up, attendees can witness deliveries being made to the warehouse, together with unloading and storage. The WMS then handles the pick order, before the items are handed over to the waiting dispatch vehicle.
Among the latest products that FAMCO is exhibiting include Linde material handling equipment, Dexion storage and shelving, and a state-of-the-art WMS, which complements the integrated systems approach of Ehrhardt + Partner Solutions (EPS).
"During periods of economic uncertainty, maximisation of business opportunities is critical to company survival," said David Dronfield, divisional manager, storage and handling solutions at FAMCO.
"Rather than extend or rent additional facilities, companies should look inwards and reorganise existing operations to maximum effectiveness," Dronfield added.
