The Training and Education Provider of the Year prize was picked up by S P Jain Center of Management, which saw off strong competition from the likes of Emirates Aviation College, GUST, GAC Academy and University of Bolton, Ras Al Khaimah.
“The market for education programmes in supply chain management was relatively limited when S P Jain Center of Management first entered the Middle East,” said Dr Rajiv Aserkar, S P Jain Center of Management.
However, the logistics industry has since experienced a period of rapid growth, which has fuelled an increase in demand for our programmes. I think the market has started to understand the role that institutes such as SP Jain Centre of Management are playing in equipping the industry with qualified, knowledgeable and highly-efficient professionals.
“We’re delighted that our achievements have been recognised at the Supply Chain and Transport Awards and we look forward to participating once again in 2010,” Dr Aserkar added.
