The national carrier has joined Etihad Crystal Cargo, Saudi Arabian Airlines Cargo and Egyptair Cargo as the fourth airline in the region to take part in the IATA programme, which aims to improve the process of managing shipments in a paperless environment.
“We are looking to increase the efficiency and quality of our service with proven and agreed processes,” said Akbar Al Baker, chief executive officer of Qatar Airways. “Cargo 2000’s quality management programme offers a proven solution for implementation and measurement.”
