The Oman government has signed 22 development agreements covering ports and civil aviation sectors, valued at a total of 87,793,229 riyals.
The agreements were signed on behalf of the Sultanate's government by Dr Khamis bin Mubarak al Alawi, Minister of Transport and Communications, while the Chief Executive Officers (CEO) signed for the designated local and international companies.
The agreements are aimed at complementing and consolidating the country’s transport infrastructure requirements. They cover the design, manufacture, supply, installation and inspection of a range of products, as well as an array of design and consultancy services.
Companies successful in securing some of the work on offer include the Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery Company, Bahwan Projects and Telecoms, LG Electric, Hankook Industry Discovery Machinery and Ghafari Associates.
