Air Arabia Maroc is planning further expansion into European countries with the help of general sales agent (GSA), AVIAREPS.
The Morocco-based arm of low-cost carrier, Air Arabia is eying expansion in markets such as Belgium and Luxembourg, the airline has confirmed.
Air Arabia has entered into the markets of Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland already, but from December 13, all sales, marketing and ticketing activities in the newly contracted countries will be carried out from AVIAREPS’ subsidiary in Brussels, headed up by general manager Xander Scheffel.
Air Arabia Maroc currently offers four weekly flights between Brussels and Casablanca, but from March 28, 2010, the schedule will be reduced to three weekly flights.
Currently, the airline operates connecting flights to a number of European destinations via Casablanca, including Marseilles, Paris, Lyon, Milan, Bologna, Barcelona, Istanbul and Amsterdam, using three new Airbus A320 aircraft.
