Emirates has blamed a “technical error” for a recent blunder with its in-flight entertainment system, which resulted in the Etihad Airways logo being aired to passengers.

According to a report by Bloomberg, the branding of Abu Dhabi-based airline Etihad was shown intermittently in the background of a film playing during Emirates flights last month.

“Emirates can confirm that a technical error occurred with security markings on one film,” stated a company for the Dubai government-owned airline. “This error occurred during film encoding by a third-party supplier in the US and as a result has also affected a number of other airlines.”

What crap! Emirates as been in decline since the 5 year. It's ads are flashy and impressive but inflight service is anything but! They have been a second rate airline with poor service, smelly cabins and unserviced planes.

Emirates is the best
I strongly believe that Emirates is the best airline in UAE now. Dubai Terminal 3 is outstanding. No compromise for that. In future, ETIHAD will also be the best. Its not an issue, whether the airline is from Abu Dhabi or Dubai. United Arab Emirates will be united always. Don't try to create a split in the name of Airlines. May ALLAH belss UAE.

Emirates Vs Etihad
Well, it seems that some people do not know that Etihad has proven to be the best in UAE, with all do respect for Emirates, they are not anymore. I fly both airlines and i can tell . more reward are won by Etihad in the last year that emirates did. Soon Etihad is going to be the number one in Asia not just the Middle East!

Logo Error
Not sure I agree with the comparison between Etihad and Emirates. In my experience, Emirates let themselves down badly by being lax about their previously good reputation. As far as the logo 'mistake' is concerned, I wonder whether that was a genuine mistake or a mistaken release of a prototype ad bearing interesting news. Hmmm. Food for thought.

Logo error
Nobody can match or compare their services with that of Emirates as of now. Their services are far superior in all areas. So tech. error on logo is negligble and makes no difference. Emirates is the best.

Logo Error
That's alright, Emirates can stand out regardless of logos on the screen. They are the best!
