DHL veteran Hans Hickler has been appointed as the chief executive office of Agility's operations in the Asia Pacific region.
Hickler was previously CEO of DHL's Global Customer Solutions in the United States, with responsibility for leading the development and sale of customer solutions for each of DHL's business units, including DHL Supply Chain, Warehousing & Distribution, Forwarding and Express products.
“I am delighted to be joining Agility at such an exciting time in the company’s development in Asia,” he commented.
Agility's former Asia Pacific CEO, Wolfgang Hollermann, will transition to a new role as advisor to Essa Al-Saleh, president and CEO of Agility Global Integrated Logistics (GIL).
“Wolfgang has been one of the pillars of our company and a strong Asia Pacific organisation was built under his leadership. We are grateful for his many contributions to the region. Now, with this transition I am looking forward to leveraging his experience on important global initiatives. His contributions to Agility will continue to be invaluable, and we are eager to benefit from his expertise,” stated Al-Saleh.
