French shipping giants reshuffle Middle East route

French shipping company CMA CGM announced that its services on the India – Middle East – East Africa line would be reshuffled next month.

As of May 11, the CMA CGM network in the region will be covered by a new SWAX2 and SWAX3 service, jointly operated by Emirates Shipping Line.

The SWAX2 service, which will feature five vessels of 2,200 TEUS, will operate through the Jebel Ali – Khor Fakkan – Mombasa – Zanzibar route.

While SWAX3, operating with vessels of 1,700 TEUS, will utilise the Jebel Ali – Khor Fakkan – Dar Es Salam route.

These two new services will replace the current SWAX service operated by the company.
