Mohsen Ahmad, Dubai World Central’s director of stakeholder relations and operation development, confirmed he would be attending a logistics networking dinner for students at the UAE University in Al Ain next month.
“I am looking forward to it as these are the first batch of students in the supply chain [field] at the UAE University and, in fact, it’s the first such undergraduate programme in the UAE,” said Mohsen.
“In addition, this could be a great opportunity to get more UAE nationals in the logistics and supply chain field which is one of the key sectors in the UAE’s economy.”
The dinner will be hosted by the Supply Chain Management Club at the UAE University female campus in Al Ain and will take place on May 9, from 7-9pm.
The President of the Supply Chain Management Club, Ghaya Al Nuaimi, said: “The dinner will give students a chance to network with professionals from the industry and have both parties benefit from each other.”
HE Mohammed Al Fahim, honourary chairman of Al Fahim Group, is also expected to attend the function. “He may attend; I have a meeting with him [to confirm],” said Al Nuaimi.
