Abu Dhabi International Airport is undergoing comprehensive re-development. The centrepiece of all this activity is the Midfield Terminal Building (MTB), which is now under construction and is scheduled to open in 2017. According to Abu Dhabi Airports Co, its developer, it will have initial capacity of 30 million passengers per year.
